And I was in San Antonio with my sisters and meeting these two miraculous little boys who looked like THIS
Back in present times, we are housebound once again with frigid (to say the least) temperatures. Teddy and Lucie June are 9.5 months old and their newest trick is up there on the cute spectrum, they’re CLAPPING! Lucie did for the 1st time on New Year’s Day and Teddy debuted his first applause just last night. Check out our videos!
Super cute, right?! Otherwise not too much going on. They are both cruising around on furniture and have started letting go and practicing to balance on their feet for the briefest of moments. Eating lots and lots, blueberries, cheese, and lentils are the latest new foods. The twins and I are spoiled from having da-da around so much over the winter holidays. We miss him already this week and it’s only Monday! So we’re tying to stay busy and not go too crazy being stuck indoors. I expect there will be a few baking projects in our future this week. Enjoy a few photos from today
Pregnancy is HARD. Some women love being pregnant. Like every moment of it; none of the other stuff seems to have any effect on them. I am not one of these women. Pregnancy sucks. Yes, I was thrilled to discover we were going to have a baby (the 2 babies thing took a little longer to get used to), but really, the 10 month journey was really difficult for me, physically and emotionally. I generally feel comfortable in my own skin. And then all of a sudden my body was not my own. Honestly my favorite part of this pregnancy was the amazing research study in which I participated. The Twin Fetal Growth Development Study was awesome! The researchers and sonographer were terrific and I learned so much more about the science of growing babies than was possible on my own. I’m so proud to be a part of it.
In any case, enjoy the following photos of me and my pregnant belly!
That was it! The babies arrived at 37 weeks and 5 days. Looking back I still can’t believe I carried them for 38 weeks.
